Laser Hair Removal Risks

Laser hair removal is generally safe, but there are a few possible side effects. In some cases, a darkening or lightening of the treated skin may occur. Darker skin are more susceptible to changes in pigment, so intentionally tanning beforehand should be avoided. Burning or blistering of the skin is also possible. Following the cosmetic surgeon’s instructions and advice is the best means for reducing the risks involved with laser hair removal.
